Some mornings call for a color that refuses to be neutral. Fuchia is that pink: saturated, magenta-leaning, closer to a peony than to a pastel, and on the right day it does more for an outfit than any amount of styling. The point of fuchsia is that it removes the option of a grey mood.
On Togo the shade gains depth. Brights often look flat on smooth leather because there is nowhere for light to gather; the pebbled grain scatters it, so the pink shifts between raspberry and fuchsia as you move. Up close it is almost graphic, the way the dye pools in the grain. Gold hardware leans into the warmth rather than fighting it.
Where it goes: summer lunches, birthday dinners, holidays where everyone is tired of safe colors. Contents are usually light when I carry it, phone, card holder, lipstick, sunglasses, but the 30 cm frame means I can add a book or a tablet without distorting the flap. It is also the first bag friends ask to touch, which it takes in stride.
Honest note: a pink this intense is a mood, not a uniform, and you should want it that day. The dye also shows edge scuffing more readily than darker tones, so I look after the corners. Carry it when the calendar looks dull; And unlike most bright bags, it improves with age instead of exhausting its welcome. It has never once failed to improve a room.
