Six tenths of an inch sounds like a number until you slide the ring on; then it is presence. The Osmose is a wide, evenly weighted band in sterling silver, made in Italy, and it sits on the hand the way a bangle sits on a wrist: plainly, confidently, with no motif to hide behind.
At 925/1000 the metal is standard sterling, polished to a mirror across the flat of the band and softer at the edges, so light slides around the finger rather than collecting in one bright point. The width means weight; you feel the ring arrive, and I mean that as the point of the design rather than a drawback. The inside is polished smooth, so fingers slide on comfortably, a small thing you notice daily on a band this wide.
It is a soloist, not a stacker. I have tried it beside thinner rings and it simply overpowers them, which settled the question: this one wears alone, on an index or middle finger where the band has room to be itself.
One honest note, twofold. Sterling silver tarnishes, nobody is exempt, so a polish cloth every few weeks is part of owning it, and the wide flat surface makes that job easy. Also, a band this wide feels tighter on warm days when fingers swell, so try it in the afternoon rather than at dawn, and consider a half size up if you are between sizes.
