Some bags throw on a third colour like a scarf; this Faubourg builds its palette like a stack of leather swatches. Gold for the body, Ebene across the mid band, Brulee, a toasted cream, at the base, all joined by an alligator awning and finished in silver. It is the warmest of the family and the hardest to photograph fairly, because each tone changes the next one.
In person the leather is the story. Madame calf is firm and fine-grained, so the 20 by 16 by 11 cm box holds its architecture, while the glazed scales above the flap add a row of highlights that shift as the bag turns in your hand. Silver hardware keeps all that warmth from tipping into sweet, and I like that choice here more than I expected to.
It is evening-sized, and I mean that literally: phone, card, key, lipstick. Worn with a camel coat in October it looks like the bag was planned around the outfit, and it has the same effect against chocolate brown or olive in winter.
The part to think through is styling. Three layered tones demand a wardrobe that does not compete, and against a bright printed dress this bag loses its balance. I find it earns its keep in autumn and winter wardrobes built on neutrals and earth tones, and sits out the loudest weeks of summer. Choose it for the seasons it belongs to and it will always look intentional.
