Rose Extreme is the loudest bag I own, and I enjoy it without apology. It is a saturated, true pink with barely any purple in it – closer to lipstick than to bubblegum – and because the Kelly 32 carries it in firm Epsom, the colour stays vivid with no gloss to date it.
I take it out for dinners, birthdays and any evening where the outfit is deliberately plain: black dress, white shirt, denim jacket. It holds a compact wallet, phone, lipstick, keys and a flat pouch, and the strap can hang long while I keep the handle in one hand for photographs.
Epsom’s embossed grain is the reason I trust this shade in leather rather than fabric. Spills and fingerprints wipe off in seconds, the surface is rigid enough that the flap edge stays sharp, and a summer drizzle beads up instead of soaking in. Gold hardware warms the pink a notch, which I prefer to silver here.
One word of honesty: this colour does not whisper. There are days I want to blend in at the school gate, and this is not the bag for them. On white shirts and denim it is wonderful; next to other brights it can compete, so I keep the rest of the outfit quiet.
If one pink piece is going to live in your wardrobe – and most of us allow ourselves exactly one – make it this one.
