Nata is not white, and that is why it works. It is the colour of milk before it becomes cream, soft, warm-adjacent, slightly ivory, and on Epsom with gold hardware this Kelly 25 reads as a considered shade rather than plain white. Under bright sun it looks brighter; indoors it settles into something closer to stone.
Epsom is the practical ally of a pale bag. The embossed, heat-set surface is more forgiving to wipe than smooth calf, and spills that would stain a soft leather can usually be lifted with a dry cloth before they take hold. The rigidity of the leather also keeps the light colour looking crisp, because sagging folds are what make pale bags look tired.
Mine travels with a phone, card holder, keys, lipstick and a small sunscreen stick. The 25 cm frame is compact, and the gold hardware gives the milkiness a warm halo that silver never could. It has been to two weddings, one roof terrace and a very long lunch, and it has not picked up a single permanent mark.
Honest note: Nata is technically off-white, and off-white next to raw denim is a gamble. I test new jeans against a swatch first and I do not carry this one on busy city days. With linen, wool and silk it is flawless, and in summer it is the bag that makes a tan look tanner and every outfit look more considered. For me it has become the bag that means summer has started, the way a first ice cream does.
