Deep blue is what people come back for once the black bag is finally done. Colour S4 sits at the very dark end of navy: indoors it passes for black, and then a window or a walk outside reveals the blue, which is the small reward of owning it.
With silver hardware the whole bag stays cool and quiet — no gold warmth, no contrast stitching to distract, just the Epsom grain running even across the panel. Epsom itself deserves its reputation: rain beads off, the surface resists scuffs, and the trapezoid frame holds its shape whether the bag is full or empty.
What fits is a phone, a flat cardholder, keys and a lipstick, tidy inside 19 x 12 x 5.5 cm. I wear mine with charcoal, with denim, with a white shirt — it is the one dark bag I own that never feels like a uniform. The silver stays cool-toned, so nothing about it warms a grey suit unexpectedly.
Honest note: if you were hoping for an obviously blue bag, this is not it. In low light Deep Blue is essentially black, and some people find that disappointing. My rule now is to look at any dark blue in daylight before judging it, and letting this one show its colour outside has been the best part of owning it.
Bought with the right expectations, it is the most quietly versatile dark colour I have carried.
