I took this one on a two-day train trip as my only bag, which tells you how much I trust the 19cm size. Blue Glacier is the kind of blue that shifts with the light, grey and cool in the morning, softer by afternoon, and the Craie sections keep it from reading as just another navy. Epsom calfskin is why I was not worried: its grain is heat-embossed into the hide, so the surface is firm, dry to the touch and famously resistant to scuffing. A soft cloth took care of a coffee splash on the way home.
What fits is exactly what a mini Kelly should hold: a phone, a slim cardholder, a lipstick, keys and a folded ticket, packed so nothing rattles. The rigid walls keep everything upright instead of sliding into a pile, which matters more than you would think when you are digging for a card at a turnstile with one hand.
Silver hardware suits the cool palette; gold would fight it. The turn-lock has a firm, precise resistance, and the top handle balances on two fingers when I carry it to dinner. Inside, a single main compartment keeps things simple, so you learn exactly where everything sits.
One honest caveat: Epsom does not soften with age. If you want leather that slowly molds to your daily carry, this is not it; the bag will look much the same in five years. Craie also means keeping it clear of dark denim and wool coats that shed, and I wipe the corners after a busy week.
