I own the 30 in etoupe, and the 36 in Vache Country, and they behave like cousins rather than twins. The color is the same gray-brown that goes with everything, but the larger cut in firm leather has a different posture, more working bag, less everyday treat. Thirty-six by twenty-six by seventeen centimeters of dependable.
The leather changes how the neutral reads. Where Negonda softens etoupe into something casual, Vache Country’s firm grain gives it a tailored edge, and the big shape stays crisp against a coat sleeve. The silver snap finishes the top. This is the version for people who want one bag, one color, and no further decisions before coffee.
What the 36 etoupe swallows: a 13-inch laptop, a pouch of chargers, a document folder, a scarf, a water bottle and lunch. The open top keeps the commute frictionless, and the interior pocket separates cards from the tangle. It fits under an airplane seat if you pack it strategically and fold the handles down along one side. A single inside pocket keeps the chaos in check, even on days when the bag is only half full.
Honest note: firm leather plus full capacity equals real weight by evening, and etoupe, while forgiving for a midtone neutral, will still show a rainy-day water mark if you let one dry on the surface. Blot it promptly and condition routinely. In exchange, nothing in my wardrobe matches more, and nothing ages more gracefully.
