The camel body with silver hardware is the combination I was unsure about until I saw it in the sun. Gold fittings on this tan read traditional; silver cools the whole bag down and makes it feel more like workwear, which suits how I actually use a small crossbody, in all weathers.
Everything else is the Evelyne 16 I know well: just over six inches tall, with the strap set long for crossbody and the front face left plain except for the perforated H. In Clemence the 37 Gold shade has a pebbled, powdery finish, closer to good buttons than to handbags, if that makes sense, and it wears that softness gracefully.
I carry a phone, a keyring, a pair of cards and a lipstick, and that is the bag full. On weekends it takes a paperback instead of the keys and rides along to the park or the market. The strap stays comfortable over a t-shirt and disappears under a blazer.
Honest limits: this size will not take a standard wallet and a phone and sunglasses together, and the tan will darken gradually where my hand rests. I like both facts; I chose a small bag to be carried small, and leather that ages is the point of buying leather.
For a neutral you can wear from Monday to Sunday, this is the version of Gold I would pick first, every time.
