An early flight taught me what Blue Pale is for. Grey dawn outside the terminal, everyone in black and navy, and this watery, almost weightless blue under the cabin lights; it made its wearer look rested, which is not nothing at hour five. Since then I have treated the color as a travel bag in spirit, even when it never leaves the city.
The leather here is Taurillon Clemence, pebbled and soft, with gold hardware that warms the cool blue rather than fighting it. Laid out, the bag measures 26 cm across, 18 cm tall and 12 cm deep — the classic Lindy 26 geometry, soft enough that it molds against your side after a few months of use.
For a day trip I pack a phone, a passport sleeve, a cardholder, keys, earbuds, a small notebook and sunglasses; there is still space for a folded light jacket at the top. With the handles laid flat, the strap takes over at security, and the side pockets keep a boarding pass within reach without unzipping anything.
The honest part: pale blue and dark denim have a complicated relationship. One new pair of indigo jeans, one long walk, and you will find blue on the corners. I test denim first, treat the leather with nothing at all, and keep it in a dust bag at home. If that sounds fussy, choose a darker blue — if it sounds like reasonable care, this one will make your winter coats interesting.
