Gold Epsom calfskin and a yellow gold Kelly buckle is the most tonal combination in the belt range, and on the Kelly Pocket 18 that warm monochrome extends to a small detail you will either love or ignore: a snap pocket 4.1 inches across on the strap itself. I use mine for a hotel card and a folded twenty.
The strap is 0.71 of an inch wide, and the sliding system covers 21.7 to 39.4 inches, so this one belt works at the waist of tailored trousers and on the hips of jeans without any adjustment but a pull.
I wear mine on the hips with straight denim and a tucked white tee, and at the waist with camel trousers where the whole outfit becomes one colour. The pocket is invisible in both cases until I need it.
Two notes out of honesty: gold leather darkens with wear at the fold lines, which I like and some people do not, and a card in the pocket can press against knitwear if the belt sits high. Set it low and carry on. Made in France.
Care for gold Epsom is undemanding: a soft cloth after wear, a colourless balm at the edges twice a year, and the strap will keep its colour. The pocket flap also likes being left empty overnight so the leather settles flat. I rotate mine between waist and hips, which keeps any one area from taking all the bend.
