The white Kelly is the one bag that made me start checking my calendar like a weather app. Not for rain — Epsom shrugs off a drizzle and wipes clean — but for what I plan to wear. Against red, navy or tan it looks deliberate; against pale pastels it can disappear.
What saves the bag from being precious is the leather. Epsom is rigid by nature, so 01 Blanc stays a crisp rectangle in the hand, never a soft pouch, and the silver hardware draws a thin bright line around a color that has no shadow to hide in. The grain is so fine that at arm’s length the surface reads almost smooth.
Mine has been to two weddings, a garden lunch and a long weekend in the south, carried in hand through all of it. Capacity is the standard mini list: phone, cardholder, keys, lipstick, and a pocket mirror that just fits if the mirror is slim. When it is not in use I keep it in the dust bag, stuffed lightly so the flap never creases.
Honesty first: this is the highest-maintenance color family I own. Raw denim and new dark leather will transfer onto it, blotches of hand cream show, and the corners grey over time no matter how careful you are. Treat the first few months as a probation period and it becomes a bag you simply use differently — deliberately, and mostly in good weather.
