The first thing to know about 37 Gold is that the name misleads. There is no metal in the colour; it is camel, the warm tan of a fresh saddle, and in the Kelly 32 it has the pleasant quality of looking slightly different at every hour: amber in low sun, milk-tinged at noon, almost tobacco under lamplight. Pair it with gold hardware, as here, and the bag becomes the warmest object in most rooms.
Togo gives the 32 its easygoing character. The grain is soft and pebbled, so the body — 23 cm high, 10.5 deep, 32 across — holds shape without ever feeling brittle, and daily handling has left nothing but a gentle sheen where my hand closes the flap. A notebook, sunglasses, wallet, phone and keys all fit, with a little spare room, and the strap goes cross-body on everything from errands to long walks.
Styling is the payoff. Camel anchors cream, white, chocolate, navy and olive, and with denim it looks like it has been owned for years, in the best sense. Tan boots and brown belts ask nothing of it — the gold simply agrees, more than most bags can say.
One honest expectation to set: because 37 Gold sits at the warmer end of the range, its sheen becomes visible at the handle and flap edge within a year or two of use. I find it makes the leather look cared for rather than worn, but if you want a bag that reads untouched, choose a harder-finish leather. Togo was never that, on any colour, and this one has no interest in pretending.
