Same black, different temperature. The 89 Noir of this Jypsiere Mini is the identical deep, saturated black as its silver-hardware sibling, but the gold fittings change how it behaves in a room: warmer, slightly old-fashioned in the best sense, the kind of contrast you notice at dinner rather than at the door. I bought it as a second black, and it has quietly become the first.
The geometry is unchanged and worth repeating, because it is the whole argument for a mini messenger: twenty-three centimetres across, seventeen tall, five deep, a flap and turn-lock, a strap long enough to sit at the hip. A phone, a cardholder, keys and a lipstick vanish inside it; anything more and the profile starts to bulge. The opening is wide enough to reach in at a till without fully working the lock.
I use mine mostly after six, when the working day is done and the bag only needs to hold the evening. Evercolor holds its dye well, so the black stays black rather than drifting grey, and the fine grain stays flat enough that the flap looks severe in the flattering way, a clean black rectangle with a single warm detail.
An honest word on the hardware: gold-tone fittings are the first thing to pick up fine hairline scratches, visible only up close but there. And this is not a laptop bag, not remotely. Buy it for what it is, a small elegant messenger for the hours when you travel light.
