Tone-on-tone is the game with this one. A warm sandy tan carried on gold-tone hardware, so the metal does not announce itself until the light catches it, and the whole bag reads as a single material. I wear it with brown boots, a tan belt and never think twice about the combination.
Taurillon Clemence in this shade sits close to the colour of natural hide, which means the leather looks least treated here: the grain flecks and tonal shifts are fully visible, and the surface has a soft sheen that grows with handling. The bag folds lightly and keeps its relaxed shape. If you like leather that looks like leather rather than like a painted surface, this colourway is the purest expression in the range.
Daily load: a zip wallet, phone, keys, a small case of essentials and a paperback for longer rides, all reachable without stopping. The rear slip pocket takes the phone when I want both hands free for coffee and a door. The strap adjusts to sit neatly over lighter jackets in summer and under heavier ones in winter.
One consideration: tone-on-tone means less contrast if you are used to dark bags against light clothes, and the tan can pick up faint scuffs on the base from being set down. Mine has a soft shadow at one corner that I have grown fond of. For storage I keep it in the dust bag with a little air around the body, since soft tan folds gracefully but flat packing does not suit it.
