Pairing a cooling white with silver hardware is a deliberate act of restraint: leather and metal sit a shade apart, the H nearly vanishes against the flap, and the bag ends up reading as one quiet bright object — closer to a clean ceramic tile than to jewellery. For summer tailoring and air-conditioned offices, nothing works harder.
The construction is unchanged from every other Constance 24: twenty-four centimetres wide, fifteen tall, five thin, with a flap that closes on its own weight. A phone, a card holder, a mirrored compact, powder and a lipstick fit in a single layer, and the bag remains light enough to hang off one shoulder all day without a strap imprinted on your spine.
Craie on Epsom is the most practical white I know. The pressed grain does not take grime into its texture the way natural grains can; marks mostly sit on top, and a soft cloth with a breath of water lifts them off. It does not glow or catch light — it stays matte and steady, which is why it survives a commute.
Where honesty comes due: between white leather and cool metal, this is a low-contrast bag by design, and anyone who wants the clasp to sparkle across a room should look at the gold hardware version instead. Beach holidays and ink pens are the only real enemies. Everything else, it shrugs off.
