Pale blue bags usually belong to one season and one mood. Celeste is subtler than most: a soft, dusty sky tone rather than pastel baby blue, and with silver hardware it settles into winter the way a good grey coat does. I started wearing it in November and it has not looked out of place once.
No more than 19 cm across, with the familiar flap and crossbody strap, it is sized for a light day: a phone, a cardholder, keys, a lip balm. Winter gloves stay in my coat, because the clasp is easy to work once and the pocket space is exactly as large as it needs to be.
Because Epsom is embossed rather than painted over a nap, this pale colour refuses to go patchy, and the firm grain means the bag stands on a table edge without folding over. The silver clasp reads almost white in daylight, keeping the whole bag in one cool key, and the surface takes a wipe-down after rain without any change in texture.
One caution: pale leathers forgive less than mid-tones, and fresh indigo denim is the main offender, so I pair this with light-washed denim or wool instead. Kept on that side of the line, Celeste is the calmest light bag I own and the one that flatters grey tailoring best. The leather has kept its colour constant, neither yellowing nor dulling, and the structure remains as square as it was in the first week. I would buy it again without hesitating.
