Water green, a fizz of pale mint and a sweep of taupe — this is the Pegase that feels like a cold drink. It is the coolest colorway in the batch, and against a white or cream bag in high summer it looks almost edible.
Both leathers, Milo lambskin and Swift calfskin, are dyed in these pale registers; the lambskin’s fine grain softens the greens, while the smoother Swift lifts the taupe into something close to pearl. As with every charm in this line, no metal is involved — nothing to jangle, nothing to scratch.
It runs about 9.7 centimetres end to end and 7.8 tall, one centimetre through at its thickest. That thinness is what lets it sit flush against a strap, and it is the reason the charm can ride on a small evening bag without changing its proportions at all.
Where it performs best: against white, cream and pale grey, where the watercolors do their work; on a straw or canvas beach bag it is the detail that finishes the look; and on black it turns sharp and graphic, like a pin on a lapel. One charm, three moods, depending on what it rides.
Fair warning with pale charms: cool pastels show grime faster than deep tones, especially where thumbs land. A weekly wipe keeps the watercolor effect readable; neglected, the mint will grey at the fold line. Two minutes of care, and it stays as fresh as the day it arrived.
