Denim blue on the foot has an easy, broken-in quality that no other colour quite matches, and this Chypre borrows it deliberately. The suede goatskin upper takes on a soft, chalky depth in daylight that pairs naturally with indigo, stone and white, and denim blue lambskin lines the interior so the colour continues inside the shoe.
Comfort comes from the same construction used across the line: an anatomical rubber sole shaped under the arch, a wide vamp across the forefoot, and a single adjustable strap over the instep. A black calfskin insole sits above the black rubber base. Sizes run 40 to 46 and the sandal is made in Italy.
It is the pair I reach for on weekends, especially with rolled denim and a plain tee. Because the tone is mid-blue rather than bright, it also works with grey chinos and a linen jacket, which is more than I can say for most coloured suede sandals.
Where this needs care is weather. Suede goatskin spots easily, and blue suede has the added quirk of fading unevenly where direct sun hits the vamp, so the colour can drift lighter at the toe before it does anywhere else. Store them away from a window, brush the nap after wear, and use a protector spray before a holiday. Kept dry and protected, the colour has held through a full summer, and the denim blue lining has not transferred onto bare feet the way a darker lining sometimes does, even after a long walk.
