Beige is the colour I reach for when I want a sandal to disappear into an outfit, and Beige Galet is a warm, sandy neutral rather than a cold cream. Pebble beige lambskin lines the inside, so when you take the sandal off you are looking at soft leather rather than a synthetic edge, and the whole thing stays light against the skin.
Calfskin forms the upper, with the anatomical rubber sole curving under the arch for support through the middle of the foot. There is 0.5 inch of black rubber under the foot, a black calfskin insole above it, and one adjustable strap with a buckle that holds the instep firmly without pressing on the bone.
Fit across sizes 40 to 46 is true to a normal shoe size, and the pair is made in Italy. I have worn these with pale linen trousers and with dark denim, and the beige handled both; it also reads warmer than white, which suits my skin better in summer.
One thing to know before you decide: light leather shows the daily grind. Toe marks, a little street dust along the strap, salt lines if you wear them to the beach. Wiping them down after each outing and storing them away from direct sun is the whole routine, and it keeps the colour even. Leave them in a hot car and the beige will dry out, which no amount of cream fully reverses.
