The Monica 60 is the heel for people who say they do not wear heels. Six centimetres, stated plainly by the name, is the number at which a heel stops being a performance and starts being a posture, and Swift goatskin makes that number feel smaller than it is.
The materials list is short and honest: smooth Swift goatskin upper, a sole of natural leather with a dark edge and heel to match, and lambskin in its natural shade over the insole and the lining. There is no hardware and no decoration to distract from the cut, which is clean and slightly arched.
I keep mine for long dinners, theatre evenings and days that mix standing with sitting, because the soft goatskin flexes with the foot instead of holding it rigid. Sizes run 36 to 41. With a midi skirt, the pale tone makes the whole outfit read lighter.
The trade-off is the underside. A leather sole and heel on a six-centimetre sandal are for pavement and interiors, not rain or gravel, and they wear fastest at the tips. Have the soles protected early and the shoes will outlast the season they were bought for; a cobbler can add a thin rubber lift at the heel tip without changing the line.
With wear, the goatskin softens at the straps, the sole darkens evenly, and the natural colour deepens a shade like skin in late summer. Made in Italy. A heel that works quietly, which is the best kind.
