Sizing a designer sneaker blind is a gamble, and I say that as someone with narrow feet who habitually sizes down. This pair I took in my true 38, and the toe box has been right from the first wear: no pinching across the instep, no heel slip, no period of regret.
It is the fit of the last that earns the compliment, not the materials: a low, flat sole of about an inch and a half, a collar that holds without biting, suede overlays soft enough to fold where the shoe flexes. The textured mesh body is denser than it looks in photographs and does not sag over the instep the way coarse knits can.
Black throughout, including the insole, lining and heel ribbon, with the white rubber sole providing the only contrast. Sizes run from 36 to 41, and I have found the range consistent across the colourways I have tried, which in this category is not a given.
One honest consequence of all-black: the texture does all the talking, so indoors, in flat light, the pair can look almost featureless, and it photographs far more quietly than it wears. Also worth knowing, black suede catches fingerprints if you handle it with sunscreen on your hands, and I have learned that the hard way in summer. A soft brush keeps the mesh panels looking new. The suede overlays forgive fingerprints after a pass with a suede eraser, so the all-black scheme stays easy to maintain.
