Sakura pink and pale blue on one bag sounds like a dessert, and honestly, that is part of the pleasure. 3Q Rose Sakura is a soft blossom tone rather than bubble-gum, and T0 Blue Brume runs cool and misty beside it; on chèvre both colours have a hand-painted delicacy, because goat leather’s fine grain diffuses dye into gentle, uneven tone.
This is a Kelly Mini 2 — 19 x 12 x 5.5 cm of genuinely light leather. Chèvre is the reason I can carry it all day on the strap without a shoulder ache. Phone, card case, keys, a lipstick and a small compact are the daily load; the interior zip pocket takes earrings when I travel, which is a habit I recommend.
Gold hardware on pastels is a warmer, softer look than silver would give. It makes the pink glow and pulls a little yellow out of the blue, and the turn-lock reads like a piece of jewellery at the centre of the flap. With a white dress in July this bag does the work of a scarf and a bracelet at once.
Two honest points. Pastels in chèvre are not scratch-proof, and the fine grain will show light fingernail marks if you handle the flap carelessly — they blur quickly, but the leather does remember. And pale pink plus fresh indigo denim equals transfer if the two meet on a warm day. I rotate this bag away from new jeans and toward linen and silk, and it has stayed fresh through two summers.
