Jaune Naples is the yellow of a lemon peel, bright and clean with a slightly green edge, and I keep mine strictly for summer: white shirts, straw hats, and the particular kind of Saturday when the plan is nothing more than a long walk and lunch outside. On a grey day it looks like a decision; on a bright one it simply looks correct.
Against silver hardware the yellow stays sharp rather than golden; the two make a crisp, almost sporty pairing that suits a crossbody better than jewelry would. The perforated H sits almost invisible at this saturation, more pattern than badge. With a five-centimeter profile and an eighteen-centimeter width, the bag lies flat when empty and only swells as you fill it.
The load is the familiar small-bag set, phone, cards, keys, lip balm, plus a paperback if the afternoon runs long; a slim paperback does fit, and I have tested that twice on a park bench. The strap adjusts down far enough to carry the bag snug under the arm when I would rather have my hands free of it.
One caution from experience: sunlight is kind to this color, but rain is not. Clemence spots noticeably in pale tones, so I check the forecast before carrying it in shoulder season, and I keep a soft cloth in the car. Treated that way, the bag has stayed exactly as bright as the day it arrived.
