Four tones of sand, ecru, beige and natural sable, with ebene providing the dark notes, make this look like a bag cut from a linen wardrobe. In person the tones are warmer than any screen suggests. It is the quietest statement in the group: nothing contrasts, everything agrees, and the whole thing reads as one texture at arm’s length.
The Zip frame gives all that softness a spine. Leather top, canvas body, gold hardware on the zip and the front tabs; a thirty-one centimeter frame with A5 proportions, and it carries a book, a notebook, a wallet, keys and a phone while staying flat under an arm, which no unstructured tote I have owned ever managed.
With so many close tones, this bag asks for a plain partner. It will blur against a camel coat and it will hum against navy; I plan my outfits around it more than I do with any other bag I own. That sounds like a burden and has become a habit instead. Worn head to toe in wool, it is the one thing I never think about.
The care routine is the same as any pale canvas: spray it before the first winter, sponge the lower half after a week of city, and it stays as even as it started. In return you get the most versatile neutral I have found in a bag this size, one that flatters anything standing next to it.
